POSITION TITLE:  Marketing Content Specialist, (Exempt) - newly created position
REPORTS TO:  Director of Marketing

Position Summary:

In collaboration with the marketing and communications teams employ content marketing strategies to produce digital content across platforms (websites, blogs, social media outlets, email, video) while continually testing and measuring content conversions to achieve marketing objectives.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages digital content calendar aligned to marketing campaigns and objectives for use across channels
  • Produces digital content by repurposing existing technical material as appropriate
  • Produces original digital content as needed by sourcing technical subject matter experts
  • Works collaboratively with marketing and communications teams to distribute digital content aligned to the digital marketing content calendar
  • Continually tests, measures and optimizes digital content using analytics to maximize reach and conversions
  • Writes and/or approves all primary ASSE website content in accordance with organizational brand guidelines for messaging and tone
  • Collaboratively coordinates web content governance with marketing and communications teams
  • Other duties as assigned

Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred in Marketing, Communications or Journalism) and 3 plus years of experience
  • Excellent writing, communication, interpersonal, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Performance driven, enthusiastic and self-motivated
  • Ability to partner with internal stakeholders at all levels across departments
  • Experience working with content management systems, basic video editing and Adobe creative suit editing skills, advanced digital distribution and measurement skills (Google Analytics, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, etc.)
  • Solid understanding of digital marketing and SEO
  • Ability to work M-F during normal business hours
  • Ability to travel to meetings and/or annual conference
